The latest update to the CAD3D module in myCNC software brings several workflow improvements for pipe cutting. Here is a quick technical breakdown of what has been added:

1. Chuck Visualization & Positioning

A new visual indicator for the chuck has been added to the CAD 3D interface. This feature provides immediate visual feedback on the machine setup relative to the pipe.

  • You can now toggle the pipe rotation along the X or Y axis.

  • The software allows you to define the chuck position on either the left or right side of the pipe

2. New Cutouts

The update expands the library of cutout shapes beyond standard circles and rectangles with two new types:

  • Line Cutouts: For making straight cuts defined by length, rotation angle, and position.

  • Rounded Rectangles: A new shape that includes a "Corner Radius" parameter.

3. Array Functionality

Previously a placeholder, this tool now allows you to duplicate any cutout type (circles, lines, or the new rounded rectangles) without manual repetition.
